• Log into messenger.
• Click on login, then my profiles,
• then create and edit my profiles.
• You will be taken to a page to log in,
• Then to a page to edit your profiles.
• There will be a button at the top of the page to create a new public profile.
• Click on that button and you will be taken to another page
• In the empty box at the top,
• Type in the name that you want to have.
• Scroll down the page, make sure that you edit the page carefully!!
• You are creating a new profile with another name under your master account name
• If you have made up an account name that yahoo accepts, you will be taken to another page
• Next step is to log out of messenger and then back in to activate the new name
• Next step is to log into chat under the new name.
• When you bring up the list of room....., at the top of the page,
• There will now be a white box with your name in it,click on that box, and you willl see the new name
• Highlight it and enter chat with that name.
• You can also send pm's with the other name.... open a pm to someone.
• In the top right hand corner you will see a white box with your name in it.
• Click on that box and your new name will appear there.
• Choose it and send the pm with that new name....
• Remember the person you are sending the pm to must have their pm's open
• OR Have that name on their list to receive a pm from you.

• When you start your cam from your friend's list....
• Look at the top of the webcam box.
• The name you have at the top is the name that your cam is on under....
• You can change the identity that your Webcam is on by:
• On the webcam box...
• Click on file..
• Then on change identy... your list of identies will appear.
• Choose the one you want to use then click OK

TO DISABLE YOUR WEBCAM STATUS

• On your friend's list..
• Click on file....
• Preferences...
• Then on the left... click on webcam and uncheck the box at the bottom on the right
• If you uncheck that box... not even your friends will know that your Webcam is on.
• You can also change your 'View My Webcam' status message while there.
• If you uncheck the box below that..
• Even your friends will not know that your cam is on

REMEMBER

• There will be times that you will:
• Make mistakes and log into chat OR send a pm with the wrong name.
• When you have your cam on under one name and enter chat with another....
• You will be asked if you want to turn your cam on in chat answer no.
• Yahoo will only broadcast your cam under one identity at a time.
• If you want to let people view your cam now, just send them an invite..

• (on your friends list)
• CLICK ON:
• Login..
• Preferences..
• Webcam..
• Check only allow the following users to view..
• When the box on the right lights up...
• Put a check in that one also, and you will not requests to view your webcam
